Charter Update: Huguenot Little League is now a true single charter Little League.  For many this might not mean anything but combining our HLL American and HLL National baseball organizations to one Little League has been a goal for many years.  As a bonus, we were able to bring in the Softball organization as well to be an all-in-one Little League chartered organization. HLL Technology Update:  For the 2019 Fall Season, we made a decision to switch to another league management system called Blue Sombrero.  Situations changed quickly with the platform ownership and we elected to move back to our previous provider (League Athletics).   Read More →

Huguenot Little League returns to League Athletics Platform
by posted 11/30/2019

Huguenot Little League Technology Platform

In the Fall of 2019, the league decided to move our website and league platform to a Little League promoted and endorsed product called Blue Sombrero.  Due to the alignment with Little League we were able to use the platform for FREE and it provided integration to Little League International.  In September, we received notification that that product was in fact being sold to another company called Stack Sports and the pricing was going to change as well.

The new pricing model was to move to a $3 per registration fee that would be incurred by every person registered (not per family) and would amount to an additional cost to our members over the course of the Spring and Fall between $3,000 and $4,500.  We evaluated the situation and decided at the General Membership meeting to move back to our old platform (League Athletics) until we can determine the best long term position for the league.

The decision points that were discussed and considered were:

  • Cost to the league and cost to the membership.
  • Functionality provided to the league to administer the league in terms of program setups, registration, scheduling and league communications.
  • Mobile Integration.

While these were the primary decision points, there were other nuances discussed and factored into the decision, not the least of which is the manner in which the transition was handled by Little League, Blue Sombrero and Stack Sports.  For questions about the platform, please reach out to us at Contact HLL page (select website from the Dropdown) or email us at

HLL Returns to Single Charter Little League
by posted 11/30/2019

HLL Becomes Single Chater

HLL as a Single Charter Little League

One area of change to the league that we want to communicate is that as of this season, HLL is now a true single charter. Little League Baseball and Softball programs and their respective divisions are under a single charter.   The implications of the charter change are largely transparent with the exception of two notable changes to HLL Baseball Divisions removing the separation of HLL American and HLL National. The combining of our American and National Charters has a couple of impacts that you may notice:

  1. Previously, once a player was league age 9 and was drafted to a team they would be locked to the American or National Charter which that team plays.  Going forward, players are all in the same charter and there is no American or National League affiliation.

  2. In previous years, American and National Leagues each had the option to field all star teams allowing two teams per age group.  Going forward, we will have one all star team per age group and all players meeting post-season requirements are eligible for consideration to that one team.

The board believes that this is a great move for the league to become a true single charter organization and will provide a number of benefits to the board and the league families.
