 4 & 5 Year Old Baseball - T-Ball

4 & 5

In Tee Ball, the goal is to teach baseball fundamentals while having fun with the focus on hitting, fielding, throwing and catching.  No live pitching is permitted in this division and players hit off a tee.

Play up can be requested during registration but is subject to league assessment and must be supported by registration numbers.  Playup requests are viewed

  • 4 year old is requesting to play Advanced Tee Ball

  • 5 year old is requesting to play coach pitch

Play up requested are determined by the Division Director.

6 Year Old Baseball - Coach Pitch

6

In Coach Pitch (Adv) Tee Ball, the focus is on development of baseball fundamental skills and teamwork in preparation for the Machine Pitch division in the following year.  Players hit overhand balls thrown by a coach. If a player misses 3 coach pitched balls, then the player will hit from a tee.

Playup requests are viewed for 6 year old means you are requesting to play machine pitch.

7 & 8 Year Old Baseball - Machine Pitch

7 & 8

The machine pitch division exclusively uses the Louisville Slugger Ultimate Pitching Machine. Managers are required to give even playing time to each child with significant time in both infield and outfield. Little experience is required, and the goal is to teach baseball fundamentals while having fun.

A 7 year old who have never played before are encouraged to spend a season in coach pitch learning fundamentals.  This can be added in the “Request” field when registering.

Playup requests are viewed for 8 year old means you are requesting to play Minors kid pitch. In almost all cases, 7 year old would not be allowed to play up to Minors.

9 & 10 Year Old Baseball - Minors

9 & 10

The Minors divisions are designed for players to further develop skills associated with player pitch.  The goal is to continue teaching basic baseball fundamentals while having fun.

Minors AA / AAA will be considered this year based on registration numbers and we’ll make determination for the structure of Minors based on registration numbers

If there is a AAA division then a 9 year old requesting to play is requesting to play in AAA, however if there is no AA/AAA division formed, then 9 year old will not be allowed to play up.  A 10 year old requesting to play up is requesting to play in Majors Division.

11 Year Old Baseball - Majors

11

Playup requests are viewed for 11 year old means you are requesting to play Intermediate (50/70) Division.

12 & 13  Year Old Intermediate (50/70)

12 & 13

The Intermediate (50/70) division represents big league rules with a smaller dimension field. It provides a stepping stone for those 13 year old players who are not ready for the “big” field (60’ pitching distance/90’ bases) and provides 12 year old players an opportunity for an easier transition from the Major division field (46’ pitching/60’ bases) before moving on to the “big” field.  The focus is on fun and enhancing fundamental skills.

It should be noted that a player that plays Intermediate Baseball is still eligible to be selected to there age designated D5 All Star Team.

There will be play up option considered for players registered in Intermediate baseball because 12 year olds will not be permitted to play Juniors and 13 year old can register in the Junior Division. 12 yr olds may play in the major division if they select the play down option.

13 & 14 Year Old Baseball - Juniors
