The Fall Season at HLL is designed to prepare players for Spring. It may seem like your child is young for the division, but everyone else is the same age.

Tee Ball Division is for boys & girls entering Pre-K (for the most part) in the coming school year playing organized baseball for the first time. No live pitching is permitted in this division, players hit off a tee. For a detailed description of this division please visit the Tee-Ball Division page.

Coach Pitch Baseball is for boys & girls entering Kindergarten (for the most part) in the coming school year who have played a year of Traditional T-Ball (not required). Players graduate from hitting off a tee to hitting soft tosses thrown from a coach. For more information, please visit the Coach Pitch Division page.

In 7 & 8 Yr Old Coach Pitch, the focus is on development of baseball fundamental skills and teamwork. Players hit overhand balls thrown by a coach from a distance of 43 feet. Managers are required to give even playing time to each child with significant time in both infield and outfield.

Intermediate Baseball is for boys and girls. The diamond is 70-foot and the pitching distance is 50 feet. Players are allowed to lead and steal and this is meant to be transitional to the large field. For a detailed description of this division please visit the Intermediate Division page

Fall Tee Ball/Coach Pitch Softball is for girls league ages of 4 to 6 as of the next spring season. It consists of one 5:30pm weeknight practice and one Saturday game. The goal of this division is to have fun while learning the fundamentals of throwing, catching, hitting, and fielding. Batters will get 3ish attempts to hit a coach tossed underhand pitch before hitting off the tee.

7 & 8 Coach Pitch Softball is an instructional division for girls league ages of 7 to 8 in the upcoming Spring season. Fall Ball consists of one weeknight practice and one Saturday game that is typically between 9am to 2pm.  The purpose is to have fun while learning fundamental softball skills and to get ready to play in the Spring. Instructional uses a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 35 feet. Batters get 5 pitches to hit a coach thrown pitch. Teams typically carry 12 players on each roster. 

Minor Softball is for girls league ages of 9 and 10 during the upcoming Spring season. Fall Ball consists of one weeknight practice and one Friday night game. This division continues to focus on developing fundamental skills of throwing, catching, and hitting while having fun and building confidence.  Minors division introduces kid pitch where the players pitch instead of the coach. In Fall Ball, kids will pitch until there are 3 balls and then a coach will take over and the batter must put the ball in play- there are no walks. The focus for pitchers is learning the proper pitching mechanics.  Minors use a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 35 feet with an 11 inch ball. 

Major Division Softball is for girls league age 11 and 12 in the upcoming Spring season. Fall Ball consists of one weeknight practice and one Friday night game. The Major division continues to develop proper softball fundamentals while incorporating both offensive and defensive skills that come with live pitching. The focus is on player development while having fun in a bit more competitive environment. Majors use a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 40 feet with a 12 inch ball. 

Junior/Senior Softball is for girls with league ages of 13 to 16 in the upcoming Spring season. Fall Ball consists of one weeknight practice and one Saturday game. The Junior/Senior division continues to develop proper softball fundamentals while incorporating both defensive and offensive skills that come with more experienced live pitching. The focus is on player development and having fun in a bit more competitive environment. This division uses a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 43 feet with a 12 inch ball.
