League Age 4 and 5
In Tee Ball, the goal is to teach baseball fundamentals while having fun with the focus on hitting, fielding, throwing and catching.
No live pitching is permitted in this division and players hit off a tee.

Minimum Age Requirement

Your child must turn 4 years of age on or before August 31 of current year in order to register for the regular Spring season.

Season
|
The spring season starts at the beginning of March and runs through the end of May.
|
Practice
|
Multiple practices are scheduled prior to games starting. There will be one practice per week after games start. Practices are scheduled for 2 hours, but usually last 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Games
|
Each team plays a minimum of 10 regular season games.
Games played on Saturday are scheduled between 9 AM to 11 AM.
Games are 3-4 innings with each player batting every inning. |
Uniforms
|
HLL provides a jersey, pants, socks and cap.
Parents must provide sneakers (rubber cleats not mandatory).

Playing Equipment
|
Parents must provide a glove, water bottle and batting helmet with a mask. A team bat is provided to the manager, but most kids have their own.

Team
|
Teams usually consist of 10 to 12 players, a volunteer manager, two volunteer coaches and a volunteer team parent.

|
HLL is an all volunteer organization. We need everyone’s help! Parents are needed to support HLL through fundraisers.

4 & 5 Year Old Baseball - Tee Ball - FAQ’S
Q: Do you keep score and are there umpires?
A: No. The 4 & 5 Year Old Baseball - T-Ball division is structured to teach the very basic fundamentals of baseball only. The games are self umpired by the volunteer managers and coaches.
Q: Can I Manage or coach a team?
A: Yes, if positions are available. Prospective managers must complete an online application. If you would like to serve as a coach, then please note that on your child's spring online registration. All managers and coaches must be approved by the Huguenot Little League Board of Directors.
Q: Will my child get to play all the time?
A: Yes, all players play.
Q: Can my child play up?
A: Play ups will be determined by the Player Agent and Division Director of the 4 & 5 Year Old Baseball division.
Q: What are the volunteer requirements?
A: Huguenot Little League is an all volunteer organization so there are many ways to volunteer. Help is always needed with registration, team parenting, assisting with pictures, opening day and fun day activities. |
